Yes, my mistake. I meant that I would like to see "Me and Juliet". I saw the Encores "Pipe Dream" which was very enjoyable, especially Leslie Uggams, though at the talkback I didn't appreciate one of the guys from R&H Organization kind of denigrating Judy Tyler as only that person from "Howdy Doody". She sang beautifully and held her own with famous Wagnerian Helen Traubel on the original cast recording and died much too young in an auto accident shortly after making a terrific impression in "Jailhouse Rock" with Elvis Presley. But "Me and Juliet" never seems to get done, and it seems to be an experimental kind of musical in its telling of the story, kind of like a backstage musical forerunner of "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern".

As far as "Love Life" Ray Middleton was a baritone, and I hope they cast a baritone as opposed to a tenor in his role. For instance, I was just listening to tenor Patrick Wilson on the recent "Brigadoon" recording and while he has an attractive voice, he hasn't quite the vocal heft/grounding in that baritone role as David Brooks had on the original cast recording or that other baritones like Martin Vidnovic had in the role. Speaking of which, I like Vidnovic's daughter, Laura Benanti, an awful lot too, but I think Kate Baldwin is a lot closer to Nanette Fabray in type and would like to have some kind of approximation of the impact of "Love Life" since it is so rarely done. But we'll see who they eventually cast.
