... THE PROM, despite stellar reviews, only had one great box office week - the week after opening. There average adjusted weekly gross was $503,000 (approx) - which would be breakeven, or more likely below breakeven, especially taking into account minimum royalties - unless they got waivers from all the creatives. So it cost $13.5 million, and they are still likely $13.5 million down - although some of their reserve might be left over if their operating costs were perhaps $450,000 ....

His March 21 column stated that investors added more money to keep show open for Tonys. So it was losing money and went through reserves early spring.
