| I liked the show very much, and I laughed A LOT. I found it such a treat to see those four veterans in the big parts, and the show should have won for best book of a musical. But as much as I enjoyed it, it wasn't as strong as either Hairspray or The Drowsy Chaperone, the two shows it reminded me most of. I wish it could have made the townspeople a little richer and more interesting. But were I a Tony voter I would have picked it for Best Musical this year. |
