| You can see seats that are marked partial view at $169 right next to premium seats at $250, like on Wed Aug 7th with H14 and H12 for example. There is now way the view can change in a few inches. Meanwhile G12 is partial view and H12 is premium? | |

| I spoke to a man in the box office. I think they are being cautious with their restricted label. They don't know right now how restricted any of these seats will be because the stage is still being built and then they won't be sure until after one or two shows. I went for a G9 based on being next and right in front of Premium seats as a decent gamble. | |

| I have never understood why set designers, or directors, have not always had as their top priority making sure that every seat in the theater can see the show. Particularly on Broadway, where the sets and the staging are custom designed for that particular house. What excuse is there for partial view? If the gargantuan Moulin Rouge set cuts off the view of a quarter of the house, then it is a failure of a set. Find a way of realizing your artistic vision while respecting your whole audience. This is another area where Hadestown gets things right. My "partial view" side box seat meant that I missed some of the band, and maybe some of the scenic elements, but nothing important. All of the action was center stage -- I was frankly surprised that they marked it as partial view (but I will take it, if it means they do not charge $400 for it). |

| Your seat at "Hadestown" was partial view because you couldn't see everything. That's all that term means. It's too soon to say to what extent the "Moulin Rouge" view will be compromised, so perhaps it's best to wait before you decide that the staging means a quarter of the house misses important events. | |
