| I’m not saying all shows should be “scrubbed squeaky clean”, but hey should taken their targeted audience into account. the Book of Mormon was not targeted to a teenage audience and was intended to be offensive. However The Prom was clearly targeted to an impressionable teenage audience and the parents who would bring them. The writers and producers have a responsibility to present appropriate material to the demographic they are targeting. I’m sure the parents in the audience didn’t expect the language used in this production. |
