| Last night on Colbert, Russell Crowe -- who plays Roger Ailes in new Showtime series 'The Loudest Voice' -- said that theater and musical theater are where Ailes' career ambition originally lay. After his time working for Nixon and producing 'The Mike Douglas Show' in the early '70s, Ailes was a theater producer, most notably of 'The Hot L Baltimore'. This was all in response to Colbert's question about what was a surprising thing Crowe discovered about Ailes, or something like that. I'd never heard about any of this -- thought it was kind of interesting. And, sure enough, Ailes is in the iobdb and ibdb. |
