While I know I'm in the minority, this is an easy one, especially if you are a Stephanie Block fan - it's THE CHER SHOW, hands down.
While this may sound dramatic, the success of Ain't Too Proud is one of the all time greatest Broadway mysteries for me. I thought it was just awful and to think it was nominated for Tony awards and even won some is shocking to me.
You asked for thoughts from your fellow posters, so without going into more details about why I didn't like it, let me just say go see THE CHER SHOW.
By no means is it the best show on Broadway, but if you're looking for something entertaining with great costumes, great songs that you already know, terrific performances, this is a nice light and frothy, fun night in the theater. |
