From his Wikipedia site: A writer in Entertainment Weekly described Smith's film-reviewing style "an exercise in hilarious hostility." He has been dubbed "America's most cantankerous film critic" by The Atlantic magazine.
So he seems to enjoy being a fool, and he's old enough and well educated enough to know what irritates people: 53 and a Yale grad. Obviously, the best thing to do, as suggested below, is ignore him. |
