Saw this wonderful new play at Roundabout Underground yesterday. Selina Fillinger has written about the after effects of a brutal rape on the rapist's parents played by Kathryn Erbe and Daniel Jenkins. Christopher Livingston is a worker in a sexual assault center where the mother decides to volunteer. All three actors are stunning, but I have to single out Ms Erbe -this is a real career high for her and that's saying a lot. The 90 minute playing time just flew by,beautifully directed by Margot Bordelon. It is grim and timely, but also touching and full of hope.

I totally agree with you. The show was recommended to me by friends who saw it 2 weeks ago. I immediately got a ticket for one of 2 or 3 that still had seats available. This is a story that you don't often hear; how do people outside the crime deal with an aftermath not of their own making. Christopher Livingston was new to me, but what a powerful performance he gave. And Daniel Jenkins really came through as well. It is truly Kathryn Erbe's play and she invested so much heart and soul into the production. I don't remember seeing or hearing about any production in the Black Box Theatre. Glad I got to attend this one.
