| I also find much of the humor in "Book of Mormon" scatogical and sacrilegious. On the other hand, the show is very well crafted. The opening number is brilliant. "Salt Lake City" is both comic and a ballad that brings the tempo of the show down so it can build again, "I Believe" is superbly structured. Now I don't think "I've got maggots in my scrotum" was so smart that it should be repeated three times, but all in all, "Mormon" is far better made than "The Prom." |
