I was never a fan of My Fair Lady until I saw this particular production for a 2nd time back in February. When I initially saw this production during previews, I came out of it thinking, "it's a very good production of a show I just don't care for." I wanted to see Laura Benanti as Eliza, so I purchased a ticket for this past February. The entire production thrilled me and seemed a bit more cohesive in comparison to the first time I saw it. I also liked Christian Dante White much more as Freddie than Jordan Donica. I took my mom to see it for Mother's Day last month, and she enjoyed it as well. She had not seen the original production with Julie Andrews as she and my dad were living in California at the time.
I have a ticket to the show this Saturday. I bought my ticket in May when it was listed that Kerstin Anderson would be playing Eliza (my Telecharge receipt verifies this). I had been wanting to see her Eliza, as I had heard wonderful things about her performance. Yesterday I found out that Shereen Ahmed would be playing Eliza all weekend. Has anyone here seen Shereen as Eliza? Was Christian Dante White in last night? Thanks! |
