Howard Miller takes a look at In the Green:

Grace McLean's In the Green, opening tonight at Lincoln Center's Claire Tow Theater, is a strange and compelling musical retelling of the even more strange and compelling story of the twelfth century German Catholic Hildegard von Bingen, who spent 30 years living a cloistered life before she left and ultimately became a Benedictine abbess, writer, composer, and mystic. . . .

This show was annoying as Hell... set was an ugly cylinder ( a lot of running and chasing in a circle on a mulch bedding ) and I got tired of seeing the tacky eye, lips and hand props. I closed my eyes though 1/2 of the 90 minutes. Lovely voices with nothing to sing!
