It's good to hear it's not all like that. In fact, re-reading the linked article, which I read after the Tonys, I see that Trujillo made a point of it not being all like that (although he still makes it sound like a lot of it is like that).
Still, I think it's interesting that you say, "I think the music comes across well enough in the show." I would hope it comes across at least well enough. Anyway, I've never seen Jersey Boys or Beautiful or any of these bio-catalog shows. They just don't interest me. Actually, I think a good show or movie about The Temptations might be more interesting to me than a good show or movie about The Four Seasons (haven't seen the Jersey Boys movie either) or Carole King but it doesn't sound like this is it. And it's not as if I have the money to see very much nowadays. |
