| The Oscars rarely reward comedies - not never, but seldom. And when they do, as with Marissa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny, people sometimes disparage those winners. I agree that Asian actors often get the short end of the stick; to use an example from another medium, hardly any of the actors in Pacific Overtures got the musical theater career boost that others have gotten from being in Sondheim shows. |
