Could it be that the best songs from a show are considered to be overexposed, and thus not played as much on On Broadway? For instance, I was happy when the announcer said that a song from Hadestown would be up next. I was let down to hear it was Hey, Little Songbird, which is about the only song in that wondrous score that I don't care for! Or maybe the announcer/programmer's taste just differs from mine? I don't know.
