| And Sondheim has also said that he misheard a lyric in CAROUSEL the first time he heard it sung -- in the original production! The lyric, of course, is "June is bustin' out all over," but he thought it was "Julie's bustin' out all over," which he took as a reference to the main female character's pregnancy :-) |
