I saw it six times including the incandescently moving closing performance and it remains seared in the mind. Frankly, I don't think the show makes sense anymore with a male Bobby, and Rosalie was tremendous, I thought, though I know there are some who want a brassier, broader approach to the part -- which seems to me inimical to Marianne Elliott's view of the character and to Rosalie's Alice in Wonderland-esque take on her, with the lovely, never-overused refrain "wow" as Bobby spins from moment to moment. Wow indeed.
If it doesn't go to New York, that will be Broadway's loss. But word is that it will, tho' not in 2019.
