I agree with your friend re: Francks' hair--I am convinced it is a very bad wig. That being said, the "Old Devil Moon" sequence is such a delight, even with its weird jumpcut on Petula Clark. She is so warm. so compelling and she more than makes up for any shortcomings her costar might have had.
