I THINK my first CD was pretty unique. I stumbled on the original London Cast Recording of Follies, 2 CD version and bought it on the spot even though I did not own a CD player! This was in 1995. I soon bought a CD player because I couldn't wait to hear it. Interesting but anytime I ever saw that CD again it was always a single disc highlight version that did not include the "Social Dancing" introduction to Act Two. It's not that important to the plot but it's one of the things that is unique to the London recording, so seems odd to leave it out. My second CD was the Vanessa Williams version of the Spiderwoman. :-). And the rest, as they say, is history.
