Much as I loved the original, this production left me breathless.
It is inventively directed/staged and Ms Clarke's performance is divine.
I may have to fly back just to see it in a Broadway house - it is so worthy.
Looking forward to seeing who else they cast and hoping they let Lauren Ward recreate her brilliant Rose Gellman.
By the way, Ms Clarke stopped the Oliviers cold with her "Lot's Wife" - a near impossible song to connect to outside of it's context but she knocked it out of the park.
