I still think the best Betrayal I’ve seen is the film version with Jeremy Irons, Patricia Hodge and Brn Kingsley. All three are superb. It’s a shame it is so hard to see in this country.
The other strong Betrayal I saw was in 2007 at Donmar Warehouse. It didn’t have much of a set but the acting by Samuel West, Toby Stephens and Dervla Kerwan was precise and powerful. The other three productions I’ve seen on Broadway have all been disappointing. |
