| I would not have commented on a comparison of the two if I had not read it. I am not, however, commenting on his taste or ideas but on his tone and style. No matter how much I disrespect his racist, misogynist, homophobic ideas, and I can't imagine having less respect, I have always respected his ability to write well and often compellingly. I have no doubt he had a good time at Moulin Rouge but his review reads as if written by a tyro. If that is how he has changed, then that's worthy of comment. (And I still think someone has heavily "edited" what appears on his blog.) |
