As a lover of “Caroline, or Change” I was already excited about the toronto production next year...now the news of the broadway revival has me even more excited. I have returned to the cast album more than once over the last week.
One thing that I consistently admire is Veanne Cox’s performance on the album. Every single choice is so crystal clear and, in my opinion, totally effective.
And to be frank: she’s no singer. But I absolutely love and cherish this performance.
What are some other similarly impactful performances by actors in musicals who don’t sing particularly well?
