| I don't agree with that. They own the copyright and can control everything. Yes, they are sometimes taken advantage of to get their shows produced, but they are also the only people who are paid substantial sums on spec. Taylor Mac made six figures on Gary (I'm sure a first), and he still owns it. Actors get 2 weeks notice, and maybe some cheap champagne on closing night. |
