| This is the fourth (or more) versions (from the 1st with Roy Scheider and Raoul Julia and Blythe Danner to Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz) I've seen. I liked this the most -- perhaps getting old(er) helps understand the relationships better. The acting, especially Hiddelson, was great. I liked the lighting designs and the turntables. I thought that the director, who specializes in Pinter, did a remarkable job. We had, fortunately, great seats which made the actors easy to understand (good sound design, I guess) and see. Pinter, like Shakespeare, gets better and better with each viewing. |
