| Buckley's last performance; very long ovation for her when she made her entrance and she wiped away tears several times during the opening number. Enjoyed her performance and showed her talent. Lewis Stadlen was wonderful as well as many of the other secondary roles. For those in Boston, the Opera House sells off the side orchestra seats (obstructed) for $20 for many shows. If you've seen something a few times or in NY and don't care about missing part of the stage (ok, I missed seeing Dolly descend the staircase!), it's worth twenty bucks. No curtain speech for Buckley, just a long kiss to Horace. (I thought her red dress was shorter than I remember....was that the case?) |
