The sound system was horrific for Ben's. People hearing him for the first time would have not idea what a great talent he is. Ali sang The Anthem as written which was so refreshing after the way most people embellish it beyond recognition preventing those who wish to to be able to sing along. Well okay she did add a Southern twang; but the original notes were there.

"she did add a Southern twang"

Does Ali Stroker have some connection to the South (besides playing a South-adjacent character in Oklahoma!)? According to Wikipedia, she was born and raised in New Jersey and then went to NYU.
