One day you’re lying in bed talking about a future, the next day you’re blocked on social media and being ignored over text. Over 80% of Millennials have admitted to being ghosted; a digital and disturbing death. This funeral is for them. REQUIEM features a new original score by MUR that follows the Kübler-Ross model of grief, taking you on a musical journey from denial to acceptance to get the closure you deserve. A Dramedy. Returning would be awesome, weird, sad and fun, and it would reveal how a ‘New York downtown transsexual sweetheart’ was made from an ugly Argentinean Litoral birthplace. (Not to mention the sex that was part of that development: sweet and dirty and full of merit.) Developed in a Dixon Place lounge residency throughout 2017, The Knife Cuts Both Ways is a hilarious and raunchy autobiographical take on one trans woman’s queer multicultural experience. October 3 – October 20 THE GLASS MENAGERIE written by Tennessee Williams, directed by Austin Pendleton and Peter Bloch With Matt de Rogatis, Ginger Grace, Alexandra Rose, and Spencer Scott Produced by Ruth Stage Schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday at 7pm; Friday at 8pm; Saturday and Sunday at 2pm & 8pm. (No evening performance on Sun 10/20) Tickets: $35 After two critically acclaimed runs in 2018 of Wars of the Roses, directors Austin Pendleton and Peter Bloch reunite with actor Matt de Rogatis to take on the American classic, The Glass Menagerie. In this disquieting production, the tormented Tom relives the story of his time in the Wingfields St. Louis apartment, circa 1939, as if he were remembering it through the lens of a spooky dream. All performances are at The Wild Project (195 E. 3rd Street, between Avenues A & B). Tickets can be purchased online at www.thewildproject.org. The Box Office opens one hour prior to curtain.
