| I’m willing to overnight it, but my understanding is it’s not by primacy but by lottery for standby, as well. So am assured ticket would be heaven-sent. | |

| First, NO, they didn't smile. Second, it's not easy for me to get to the Delacorte, so to get there and wait for a slim chance to get a ticket? I was happy to camp for HOURS to get it. And then the rejection email has this "here are other shows we think you'll love" THAT YOU CAN BUY TICKETS TO. Really, Today Tix and Public? Fuck you. I already saw 4 of those shows and one of them was Sea Wall/A Life which wasn't that good the first time. I wrote a letter to the ironically named PUBLIC theater and bitched. This is easier and cheaper for them to run but it's less fair to people who really want to go. | |

| Gee, you sound like a stable gal to me. I'm sure your letter will be circulated around The Public for the staff's amusement. | |

| On the other hand, some people think lotteries are far more humane than having people camp out for hours -- or sometimes overnight -- to get tickets. I think your anger level is just a tad over the top. | |

| Really? Thank you so much for having an opinion on my feelings. I didn't know they could be rated by others. | |

| "Thank you so much for having an opinion on my feelings. I didn't know they could be rated by others." Well, as the very wise Mary Flynn once said, "Now you know." But I'm sure you knew already. And I suspect that, at least once or twice in your life, you may have expressed the opinion that someone else's emotional response to something was an overreaction (or an under-reaction). Since you felt it necessary to write "fuck you" to The Public Theater as your reaction to their mortal sin of distributing free tickets via lottery rather than some other method, I'm surprised that you're surprised at my reaction to your reaction. |
