| I saw the last preview performance of Bridges back in July. I agree with the other posters that the acting is strong (Jenna Russell is giving her all), but the vocals are extremely weak pretty much across the board (save for the actress who sings "Another Life"). I liked the intimate production and the elimination of the townsfolk from the periphery of every scene as in the Broadway production. The show works so much better as a chamber musical. If you have a strong desire to see "Bridges" then see it, but if your main reason is to hear JRB's score sung like on the OBC with O'Hara and Pasquale then I'd suggest seeing something else. |
