No, I do not "get" that. Or, rather, I don't agree.

It's true that this sentence is confusingly written. Still, it's completely clear that, of course, Linklater will start filming with the scene set on the rooftop in 1957, then move forward to the scenes set later in the '50s, then the scenes in the sixties, and so on and so on. Which is actually chronological order in terms of the passage of time in real life, but reverse order in terms of the way the story is told.
To me, the most confusing part of the article is that it says Ben Platt will be playing "the lead," which I guess would have to be considered Franklin Shepard, whereas I strongly suspect he will actually be playing Charley Kringas. |
