I finally saw BOYHOOD last month. I liked it but I like Linklater's movies and the Texan milieu he builds them around. But I wasn't convinced that the passage of time aspect was successful. I'd like to see it again. I also wonder whether this will make sense in a much more commercial production. The cast of BOYHOOD was basically Linklater's artistic family before the film project started. But it'll be interesting no matter what as every Linklater movie is, in my opinion. I'll definitely see it if I'm still extant.
