| I thought Craig did fine, but was not anything unique that merited her coming over for this production. But I also am a bit skeptical of Lenk in the role. Hope to be happily proven wrong. | |

| I saw it in London and agree with you on both counts. I loved Lenk in Band's Visit so I know that she's got s**t going on inside, but she doesn't seem the type to bust open emotionally the Bobby needs too. (Felt the same about Craig.) Sorry sweet Jonny Bailey isn't coming but Matt Doyle should be good. |

| Agree on Bailey/Doyle. I saw Bailey twice in London (early in run and then near the end). He was out of control and manic the second go around. I am a tad bemused at those folks who seem to think because of the ovation he received for Not Getting Married Today that he was uniquely successful in this role ... as if any actor competently performing the number would not get the same response. Of course the London staging's business with the priest did have a few special moments, ones I hope they repeat and/or build upon here. |
