They do subscriber/patron discount emails as dates approach. I think they're sometimes on Playbill Club and such. And there's the Lincoln Center TKTS-style window in the Atrium. I'm not sure if the non-member full price fluctuates. I kinda don't think so, but I'm a subscriber, so I get everything I want in advance and rarely buy more during the season.

The sound there is a bit notorious, thus the eternally on-again/off-again plan to gut it and try again (not for the first time). My normal seats are high on the side, close to the stage, and when we first got them I was surprised how good the sound is there. The main floor can vary, though I don't know offhand of specific spots to avoid. I do remember once years ago being quite close to the stage on the house left side for a violin concerto and thinking "she's right there [the soloist], why can't I hear her?"
