Both ladies, along with Adina Verson, were just terrific ( their scene dissing Hemingway was a hoot ) even if the play was so uneven.

I agree they were mostly wonderful, but I also think you're being rather generous to call it a play. I'd put it in the category of a few quarter-baked sketches cobbled together and lengthened into a full evening without finding a theatrical reason to do so. Between this and "Folk Wandering", I'm beginning to think that the promise Backhaus showed in "Men on Boats" was actually the full extent of her abilities.

They are not. They might be more distantly related, although Bedi is a moderately common Indian surname. (NM)
