It was to have been a revue, directed by Martin Charnin. First announced as Nancy's Turn, then as Back on the Town. Material for sketches was sought from Mel Brooks, Thomas Meehan, Joel Siegel, Paul Mazursky, Norman Lear, Carl Reiner, Ronny Graham and Ira Wallach, and Marvin Hamlisch and Charles Strouse were both to have written music. It was also said that there might be material from revues Walker had done in the past. I imagine the old material might have included "Hostility" from The Girls Against the Boys, the cast of which had included Charnin, and stuff from Phoenix '55.

On the other board, the title was given as Nancy Walker: Back in Town, but I don't think that is correct (though I prefer it) unless it was still another title iteration. I found a snippet on the show saying that Walker departed for a TV project "despite the two years of work that had gone into [it]." (The quoted language sounds to me like something Charnin would have said under the circumstances.)
