Threaded Order Chronological Order

The former Liberty Theater on 42nd Street is temporarily open as a Halloween store.

I am hoping to go back more than once before Halloween. In the back of the store some steps lead up to what was the orchestra. Next to Madame Tussuads between Broadway and 8th Avenue. I know it gets rented for events, I've been to one, but it looks a bit beaten up right now. Cohan starred in Little Johnny Jones here in 1904.

Is the Halloween pop-up store in the old restaurant space? Or in the Liberty itself? Sounds like the former.

I've not visited either (restaurant or theater) space, but wouldn't the Liberty be perfect for The Drama Book Shop? There's even a stage for readings. And an entrance (load in/out door, I think) on 41st St.
Must make time to explore...

It would certainly get business being in the middle of everything like that. However, I did love the cozy atmosphere where you could browse and sit, which you won't be able to do with a lot of tourists coming in. I loved their used plays and books section too. It would be GREAT to have a large space to have readings and book signings, however, they haven't had great guests since that young guy Steven left.

All the way in back is the stage, boxes, and 2 balconies. No orchestra seats. nm
