I have seen many productions at the Tank. Their projects are usually created by newer and younger playwrights and directors who exist outside the off Broadway not for profit establishment. As such they tend to be more flamboyant
perhaps "cutting edge"---playwrights take more risks. The acting on these projects is usually first rate---because of the material, actors can take greater risks and sometimes the results are electric. Technically the productions
are extremely well put together---lights, costumes and scenery are usually very imaginative. An interesting venue to discover new voices. |
