Thanks for that. I can't quite figure out when this aired though. I found it fun that the audio was credited to Maria Ouspenskaya though. The interview didn't go into the feuds with David Merrick during the run of "Carnival!", as Alberghetti only focused on her success in the role, along with the very affable host. But apparently she focused on her family. Interestingly, it said she was in talks to be Maria in the original "West Side Story", but since she was a name on tv (42 appearances altogether on "Ed Sullivan") and had been in films with Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, etc., a manager or someone associated seemed to not like the idea that no one in WSS was going to have their name above the title as the show's star, or something along those lines, and the offer was withdrawn. She did perform the role in a number of productions later on though. I watched a clip of her at about age 15 in the Bing Crosby film "Here Comes The Groom" singing "Caro Nome" from "Rigoletto" and she certainly had a beautiful voice. According to her in this interview, after "Carnival!' she focused on raising her children, took off some years, and then when she came back to the business wasn't as aggressive or pushy in terms of driving her career as she had been before.
