Starobin's brother, David, is a guitarist who has made many recordings of contemporary music for the Bridge label. On LP, volume 3 of his "New Music for Guitar" series included a "Sunday Song Set" arranged by Michael, performed by David with baritone Patrick Mason. The four songs used are "Color and Light," "Finishing the Hat," "Lesson #8," and "Putting It Together." I can't say that this is essential listening, but it's pleasant enough. On LP, it was paired with music by Sondheim's teacher Milton Babbitt, along with music by Bayan Northcott and John Anthony Lennon. Later on CD, it was paired with the Babbitt (called just "Composition for Guita") and music by other composers. It's also available as a download. I think that the physical CD may be tough to find now.
