|Victoria Clark owned the show on Broadway. When I saw the tour with Andreas, who was good but IMO not commanding in the same way, I found that the lovers seemed more the center of the story than Margaret. Both ways were perfectly valid - I just found it interesting how the story seemed to shift for me a bit.
Likewise, hearing Aaron Lazar on the telecast made me think of Fabrizio vocally in a much different way (I began to think of Morrison as a weaker choice overall) - but hearing David Burnham on the tour was even more thrilling.
Also, I thought Katie Rose Clark on the telecast was very good, but I do wish I had been able to see O'Hara in the role. I also liked Ms. Clark on the tour a lot.
I would love to see O'Hara play Margaret at some point.
