"The Inheritance," "Sound Inside," "Slave Play" and even "Jagged Little Pill" all have some TDF for Thanksgiving Week.

I've usually avoided this week for theatergoing, since discounts can be tougher around holidays. But a batch of new plays all have some availability, and several are wide open. If you have Thanksgiving evening free, you can TDF your way into "Jagged Little Pill." (I saw an early preview of "Beautiful" years ago on Thanksgiving night; it's a lively and enthusiastic audience.) "Greater Clements," which I also saw last week, is up, as are many off-B'way shows. "The Inheritance," expected to be among the hottest tickets this fall, is up tonight and Friday evening.
Maybe this is bad news for serious work (i.e. the ever-threatened but resilient straight plays) but welcome news for people on a limited budget. If you have the time this week, you can see quite a range of theater at 1988 prices.
