I will say, I think the Miller production of RIGOLETTO would have been vastly improved had it been sung in the original Italian. Miller's adaptation of the mise-en-scene to Mafia NYC in the '50s was brilliant, but the English translation used was unfortunately very stilted, especially for the change in time and setting, and the fact that some or all of the cast had obvious British accents even when singing was another big problem.
