Monday night November 18th was one of the most magical nights I've ever seen. I've seen a lot of theater and am so glad to witness this night. Angela Lansbury was so magical and loved what she brought to Lady Bracknell. The best one in the show after Angela Lansbury was the young actor Tom Rhoads who played Algernon. He is a star in the making and can't wait to see more of him on Broadway. I have seen "The importance of being earnest" many times and even saw the last production in London with David Suchet as lady Bracknell. Tom Rhoads was by far the best Algernon I have ever seen and what he brought to the role was very impressive. What a talented actor and i hear has a beautiful singing voice too. Another great one was Jayne Houdyshell as Miss Prism. The comedy Jayne Houdyshell, Angela Lansbury, Tom Rhoads and Hamish Linklater brought to the roles was something I'll always remember. The one I was not crazy about was John Glover and Lily Rabe. I don't think they understood the material of this classic and not sure about her British accent . The highlights of the night were Angela Lansbury, Tom Rhoads and Jayne Houdyshell .
