We fully disagree, particularly about this show as a radical B'way entertainment (I only wish it were far more so, since the contradictions tethered to the linear storytelling read as flaws to me, a point I admit I've already aimed to make); but this has been a stimulating conversation, the reason I post. I've learned from the staunchest defenders of this show, and recognize the fascinating Rorschach Test in this piece. Or perhaps, to your points about poly-protagonists or intentional polyperspectivity, a Rashomon Effect is more apt. I doff my chapeau to any work of art that can create such disparate and complex reactions. The reviews may well support your thesis and sergius's. Either way, this looks to be a show with a bright future. The conversations will continue.
