As a gay man in my mid-50s, I found it profoundly moving. I'm not saying that I'm blind to its flaws. I recognize that it is a flawed work. However, I cried several times throughout the both parts, and I outright sobbed more than once. I was completely engaged thoughout. I found that the time flew by despite the length. In my book, that makes for a great day and night at the theater and makes the play something very worth seeing.
