| Yes...it is so good that these plays are getting a second look...& sad that the expense of producing off-off Broadway work in NYC today keeps this play (which has had full houses) to such a short engagement. I want to see more of their work...this is the first I had heard of them. The film is quite, quite wonderful...I need to see it again...& I remember the revival 25 years ago being strong...but yes, though I have read this play many times since first discovering it 32 years ago, & worked on a scene & Maggie's wrenching monologue, it was the loss to cancer of a dear college professor (who had directed a production of this before my time there) &&& the precious days/years I have with my aging Mom which made me weep throughout this beautiful production. |
