I thought GUN & POWDER was the best new musical I have seen in years, and I also hope it has a future life and a future cast recording. I presumed that the Greek chorus were the descendants of the sisters telling the story of their ancestors (the seven singers are billed as “kinfolk” in the program), which would explain the costumes from various eras.
Sorry you had problems with the GalaPro system. Signature is supposed to expand its features at some point to include audio description, which would help my visually-impaired friend enjoy the shows. Until then, Signature is very good about arranging for an audio describer to explain costuming, stage movement, etc. through an earpiece.
I hope you let the staff know your problems with GalaPro. I have the feeling it is still a work-in-progress with them, and they would probably appreciate your feedback. |
