One friend, who is a retired university theater director and usually very critical of what he sees, enjoyed it very much and thought it was well performed and directed. He really didn't have any negative comments. Another friend said something about the sets being very large and too detailed, making the set changes time consuming. Bill Eadie, in his TB review, mentioned something about this, too.
I am going with a group on the 15th, and the show closes the next day, so any comments I could make won't be of much value. I did see the original on Broadway and never thought I would see a production of it some 40 years later. I am especially looking forward to seeing Teri Ralston and Marcia Rodd. Besides her performance in Your Own Thing, I know I saw Marcia Rodd at Kansas City Starlight in On the Town, which starred the Hudson Brothers. I hope I have a chance to speak with her after the performance. |
