I'm not sure it was for anything, or that it was part of their plan. But then again, I don't remember it ever being in theaters, I thought it was filmed for like HBO?
I'm assuming his film of American Utopia will be put in theaters as it is A) Much more common to do that now than it was in 2005-2007, and B) David Byrne has a vastly bigger appeal and fanbase than Stew did/does.
I am still angry and dumbfounded that Spike Lee (or Spielberg even, or ANYONE) didn't film the original Caroline or Change, even for HBO. |
